About Crafts with Valerie

Valerie - creating and crafting beautiful and functional works of art is what I love to do. When my daughter went off to college, I found I had too much free time on my hands. I remember sitting at my dining room table gazing out the window thinking, "what am I going to do with myself?" Among other things, I decided to volunteer working with the children at my church and later began facilitating craft sessions with seniors and children throughout Central New Jersey.  This was the start of my arts and crafting career...

This love of crafting helped me to start a business in 2004, (Crafts with Valerie) that I still own and operate today bringing fun projects and joy to others as we craft our way creating handmade objects.   Lastly, I’ve begun developing products for my company that I sell online and at various Craft venues.      

My formal education and training in Artistic Expression has been mostly taking art, sculpting and graphic design classes in college and adult schools, interning with seasoned artists and craftsman and online instructions.  I continue to seek opportunities for learning new techniques working with various mediums along with the latest tools and materials.
